About Chris
Far North Queensland based artist, Chris Neilson is an imaginative, meticulous, realism orientated painter and designer. Born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, Chris studied at the University of Melbourne before starting work with Clemenger in the competitive advertising industry of the late 1980’s. After extensive world travels in 1992-3 which took in south east Asia, Europe, the Middle East, North and Central Americas, Chris took up the brushes, following in his mother’s footsteps, and started to paint.
Based in beautiful Far North Queensland now, Chris is inspired by the local beauty, national parks, beaches and hinterland, with new local pieces planned for the future.

Chris’s original works are hung in collectors homes in Australia, Singapore, New Zealand, Greece and the USA.
